Iris Corner — the offer for retailers and opticians

An iris photography corner that brings new customers through your door.

Ikomiris installs a booth in your store that photographs your customers’ irises. They leave with a work of art drawn from their own eyes. You gain customers you never used to see, a service your competitors don’t offer, and a story to tell that has nothing to do with lenses or frames.

Why a corner

Three things a corner changes in your store

Iris photography is not just another shelf. It is an experience customers live in your store, talk about on their way out, and it sets you apart on your street.

01

New customers

The corner draws people who had no reason to walk into your store: couples looking for a gift, families, young people who don’t wear glasses, passers-by stopped by the large irises on display in your window.

  • A shop window that stops passers-by
  • Customers rarely come alone: they come back with their partner, their children, their parents
  • Visitors discover your store and remember it the day they need you

02

A service your competitors don’t have

Stores around you often sell the same brands with the same sales pitch. The corner gives you an offer nobody else on the block has, and the image of a modern, creative business.

  • A spectacular experience, lived in your store
  • Cutting-edge technology associated with your brand
  • A reason to choose your store over another

03

Something new to talk about

Discounts, insurance, second pair free: an optician’s marketing quickly goes round in circles. The iris gives you a visual, emotional and positive subject that talks about the eye without talking about correction.

  • Unique images to post, with your customers’ consent
  • Key dates all year round: Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Christmas
  • A story that interests the local press and social media

Marketing

At last, something beautiful to show

An iris photograph is an image no one has ever seen before: every eye is unique, and the result surprises even its owner. It is exactly what a local store’s marketing is missing.

Your social media

Every session produces a striking image. Posted with the customer’s consent, it gets shared and commented on, and brings their friends and family to you.

Your shop window

Large iris prints change the way people see your storefront. We supply the display prints and the presentation stands.

Your calendar

Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Christmas, weddings, births: the iris suits every gift-giving occasion, and gift cards extend the season.

Your neighbourhood

An open day, a shopping-mall event, an article in the local paper: the corner gives you material for events that get people talking about you.

For an optician, it is still your subject

The eye is your profession. The corner lets you talk about it differently: its beauty rather than its correction, emotion rather than prescriptions. You stay credible, and you become surprising.

A session

What your customer experiences, from the corner to the print

01

Your customer discovers the corner

The prints on display catch their eye. You explain the idea in one sentence: we photograph your iris, you turn it into a work of art.

02

They sit down at the booth

The booth locates the eye, moves into position, focuses, and only takes the shot once the eye is open and properly framed. You press one button, it does the rest.

03

They see their iris up close

Their eye appears on screen in detail they have never seen. This is the moment the session becomes an emotion, and the sale is decided.

04

They design their artwork

On the corner’s touchscreen, they choose a layout, colours and text, and see the result. They can also do it later, at their own pace, from home.

05

Our experts take over

The photos are sent to our lab automatically. Every iris is retouched, then the final design is sent to the customer for approval before printing.

06

They receive their print

Ikomiris prints and ships. Customers find their photos in their personal online space, where they can reorder whenever they like.

Who it’s for

The stores where a corner fits

Opticians

The link with your profession is natural. The corner brings in people who don’t wear glasses, and your customers come back with their loved ones between two pairs of glasses.

Concept stores and gift shops

Home decor, art, gifts: the iris extends your range with a personalised item nobody else sells near you.

Photographers

An original service, with no studio to set up and no retouching to do: the booth takes the photos, our experts retouch them.

High-footfall locations

In a town centre or a shopping mall, the corner turns passing footfall into visitors, then into customers.

Frequently asked questions

What we are asked most often

Do I need to be a photographer to use the booth?

No. The booth locates the eye, frames, focuses and takes the shot by itself. The touchscreen guides whoever is operating it: any member of staff can run a session after one demonstration.

How do I earn money?

It is a win-win model. In exchange for renting the corner, you earn a commission on the photo session billed in store, and on every product (art prints, digital files) your customer orders afterwards, including online.

How much space do I need?

The booth itself measures 50 × 60 × 80 cm. For the comfort of the customer and the operator, we recommend 3 m² of floor space (2 m² minimum).

Do you supply the computer?

Yes. The booth is delivered ready to use, with the computer and the touchscreen control panel. You have no hardware or software to add.

What if a photo doesn’t come out right?

The booth checks sharpness and whether the eye is open on every shot, and shows the photo quality on screen. If it isn’t right, you retake it straight away, while the customer is still seated.

Who handles orders, printing and delivery?

Ikomiris. We retouch the photos, print the artwork, ship it to your customers and provide after-sales service. You have no stock to manage.

How do I let my customers know about the corner?

We provide a marketing kit: flyers and display prints for your window and counters. Every session then gives you images to share, with your customers’ consent.
